Webinar : Insight into Adolescence: The Covid Edition.

Dr. Michael Davidovits is back!  He's one of PSP's trusted experts in child and adolescent psychology, and he's here to give us much-needed insight into our tweens and teens through the filter of this challenging year.

Join PSP and Dr. Davidovits on Thursday, April 22nd @ 7:30pm for Insight into Adolescence: The Covid Edition.

So much has changed after a year of remote schooling, lockdowns, and social isolation, Dr. Davidovits will help us understand normal adolescent development and what may have been altered by the experiences of the Covid-19 pandemic. Among the questions we will discuss are:
  • What is the spectrum of "normal" adolescent behavior vs what we are seeing now?
  • What are appropriate and realistic expectations and limits for parents to set at this time?
  • How do we support our teens who are struggling with social isolation, exhibiting more anxiety and depression, and are more obsessed than ever with online engagement?
  • We’ve spent much more time with our tweens and teens than in non-quarantine times. How can we take a step back and get some perspective?
  • How do we deal with our kid's provocations and anxiety-provoking experimentation in light of all they've been through this year?

Join PSP for a night of insight with Dr. Michael Davidovits,  Assistant Director of the Project for Adolescents and their Families at the Ackerman Institute.

Our goals? Gaining an understanding of the cognitive, emotional, and physical changes in early adolescence and adolescence and the effect that Covid has had on those changes. Exploring strategies to help us stay connected while getting more comfortable with our child's greater need for independence. Learning to manage our stress over our stressed-out teens!
