Ever dream of being a critic for The Village Voice,Rolling Stone, The Sourceor The New York Times? The Teen Reviewers & Critics (TRaC) program is where you’ll get your start!
Recognized this year as a 2011 National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award (NAHYP) Finalist, the TRaC program is an exceptional opportunity for high school students who want to explore and experience the vast arts scene in New York City. Imagine yourself and 11 peers from all over New York and NJ attending world-class performances and cutting-edge exhibitions, meeting professional artists and critics, and breaking it down in weekly two-hour workshops, all while improving your writing! In addition, during this FREE ten-week program all TRaC participants will: * Attend at least 5 performances, films and exhibitions, forFREE * Learn from high profile professional artists and critics * Visit venues and areas of NYC they've never been to before * Expand critical writing and dialouge skills * Publish reviews read by thousands * Meet like-minded peers from all over NYC and NJ All TRaC classes meet weekly for a two-hour workshop (4:30 – 6:30 p.m.) and every other week for one additional weekday or weekend outing. That’s 8 workshops and 5 outings! High 5 partners with the most cutting edge and prestigious cultural organizations to bring you the best of NYC. All classes begin with a Kick-Off Party on October 11 and end in a huge Finale on December 17.

Film TRaC - meets Tuesdays, October 18 - December 13

Theater TRaC - meets Wednesdays, October 12 - December 7
In partnership with The Public Theater Music TRaC - meets Thursdays, October 13 - December 15 In partnership with Carnegie Hall Visual Arts TRaC - meets Thursdays, October 13 - December 15 In partnership with the Museum of Arts and Design
Dance TRaC - meets Fridays, October 14 - December 16
In partnership with the New York Live Arts
Multi-Arts TRaC - meets Fridays, October 14 - December 16

Fall TRaC is Back!
Ever dream of being a critic for The Village Voice, Rolling Stone, The Source or The New York Times? High 5’s Teen Reviewers & Critics (TRaC) program is where you’ll get your start!TRaC is an exceptional opportunity for committed high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who want to explore and experience the vast arts scene in New York City. Applications are now being accepted for the spring program. First come, first served!
In this FREE ten-week program, TRaC participants will:
* Attend world class performances and exhibitions.
* See how professional artists work, think and live.
* Visit venues and areas of NYC you’ve never been.
* Meet like minded peers from all over NY and NJ.
* Expand your understanding of critical writing and dialogue.
* Learn more about yourself!
