Girls Who Code 2014 Summer Immersion Program

Friends, Girls Who Code is now accepting applications for our 2014 Summer Immersion Program! 
We're looking for amazing 10th and 11th grade girls from coast to coast with a passion for technology and an interest in learning how to code.

 

The application is live on our website now, and the deadline to apply is February 27 at 11:59pm EST.

ABOUT SUMMER IMMERSION What: an innovative program pairing 250+ hours of intensive instruction with engagement opportunities with the industry’s top players. The program is free of charge for all participants. 

• Uses project-based curriculum to teach computer science, including algorithms, loops, basic data structures, Python, HTML, and JavaScript
• Cultivates crucial soft skills such as public speaking, leadership and entrepreneurship  
• Exposes students to successful female role models through guest speakers, field trips, workshops, and mentors

Where: Northeast programs will be held in:

• Boston, MA
• New York, NY

When: Summer 2014, Monday - Friday, 9-4pm for 7 weeks (exact dates to be announced shortly)

Who: Eligible applicants are:

• Current 10th and 11th grade girls interested computer science and technology
• Prior computer science experience not required
• Residents of the metro area where the program is held
