Blue Tree Summer Camp for Girls - Grades 7-12

http://curiousjanecamp.com/bluetree

The Basics

Blue Tree is open to rising 7th-12th grade girls. We offer multiple two-week sessions, open to both day and residential students. Girls choose two classes per session.
We welcome girls from many states and countries. Most students choose to board on campus, but day students benefit fully from the program as they are welcome to stay through dinner and evening activities. (Please see Sample Schedule.)

Residential Stay

At each location, we have our own residence house, just for Blue Tree girls and staff. While many summer programs may take place on the same campus, we do not share living space with other groups. It is important that we carve out our own space and create a strong unity within our group!
We’ve found the ideal size for our all-girls program is 30-60 residential students. We limit our session size to create a strong unity within our group! All campuses and dorms are safe and secure, with key-card access entries, 24-hour campus safety, and a residential staff to student ration of 1:5. With all girls and staff sharing a house together, we make the Blue Tree residence our home away from home.

Locations And Dates

We are thrilled to return to Bryn Mawr and add two new locations for our Blue Tree families.
Our 2011 locations: Bryn Mawr College (PA), Smith College (MA), Emory University (GA).
Dates vary by location; each two-week session starts on a Sunday and ends on a Friday. Multi-session students are welcome to spend the intersession Saturday on campus with us.
Bryn Mawr CollegeSession 1: July 10 – 22
Session 2: July 24 – August 5
Bryn Mawr is a renowned all-women’s liberal arts college in Bryn Mawr, PA (a lovely community northwest of Philadelphia). The campus boasts collegiate gothic architecture and beautiful lawns, and it is walking distance to Bryn Mawr’s main street. Facilities include a newly renovated gymnasium and pool, campus center, main dining hall, classrooms and computer lab, and performance spaces. All girls and staff reside in Radnor Hall. We use both double and single rooms, and girls are grouped by age. Residential space is limited to 50 girls per session. It typically enrolls by mid-May, so please enroll early.

Smith is another very reputable all-women’s liberal arts college, located in Northampton, MA (a beautiful town about two hours east of Boston). The campus offers historic residential houses rather than large dorms, and each house has lounges, and a kitchen area. The campus also offers house-based dining halls, recreation spaces, wonderful classrooms and a lovely setting. Again, we use both double and single rooms, and the girls are grouped by age. Residential space is limited to 36 girls per session.
