Teen Night Planning Committee at the Brooklyn Museum

EducatioEducation: Teen Night Planning Committee

The Teen Night Planning Committee is an internship opportunity for teens interested in learning more about the ins and outs of event planning in the arts. The Teen Night Planning Committee designs, promotes, and facilitates special Teen Nights at the Museum. Members of the Committee have the opportunity to:
  • Select local teen performers and artists for Teen Night events
  • Invite teens to take part in Teen Night activities
  • Learn how to network and promote special events
  • Develop organization and event-planning skills
  • Collaborate with peers to gain communication skills
The Teen Night Planning Committee internship is open to all high school students and runs from November to May. Meetings are held two or three Wednesdays a month from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Teen Night events are held on the second Friday of the month in February, March, April, and May. Upon acceptance to the program, participants must commit to working for seven months and are required to attend all meetings and work days.
