As thousands of our students walk across the stage to receive their diplomas this week, an independent, highly-respected research organization has released a study confirming that the new small schools we’ve established since 2002 are helping more students graduate.

We’ve made it a priority to create new small schools to offer our students more high school options and a more personalized high school experience. The report by MDRC found that small schools have a higher graduation rate than other schools on average, and that they are particularly successful with students traditionally considered the most disadvantaged.
