Masonry Restoration Technician Training Program

This spring, Green-Wood Cemetery is proud to once again present Bridge to Crafts Careers, a paid training program in masonry restoration, in partnership with Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow.

This is an incredible opportunity for New Yorkers between the ages of 18 and 27 to acquire the skills to pursue a career in masonry, construction, and the union trades.

Virtual info sessions for potential candidates will be held on February 16th and 22nd and March 1st and 8th. We hope to see you there! For more information or to register for information session contact Joan St. John at jstjohn@obtjobs.org

The 10-week paid Masonry Restoration Technician Training Program begins April 12, 2021. Interns selected by Green-Wood and OBT will learn how to care for historic structures made of marble, granite, and brownstone—a highly sought after skill in today’s market. A Green-Wood mausoleum will be utilized as the foundation for the training. The mission of this program is to prepare participants for entry-level construction positions in stone restoration and associated trades. This unique initiative is a collaboration between OBT, Green-Wood, World Monuments Fund, and the International Masonry Institute.
